2014 Nissan Leaf, Mitsubishi Lancer, Scion XB, Mini Cooper Countryman, Ford C-Max, Chevy Volt. Who did the best? Who did the worst?

That Ford C-Max doesn't look too good.

Actually impressed with Lancer, and to a lesser extent the Volt. Surprised it wasn't recalled half way down the line though.

I'm honestly surprised with how well the Lancer did, given how old that design is.
The Leaf and C-Max looked to be the worst.

huh, only the mini managed to keep the driver's head on the airbag... the C-MAX definitely looks like it has the weakest side airbags.. though the Leaf did pretty poorly too...

Yeah the Leaf was very bad. Those air bags are moving around all over the place. Scary

The leaf's side bad stays in place well, but when the steering column tweaks the wheel bag just slides right out from under the driver's head... the Ford also has a lot of steering column displacement, but without firm side bag... :/

Poor leaf. Has the tesla model s been tested here yet?

They also tested the Mazda5, and it did the worst. The side airbags didn't deploy and the driver's door unlatched. Good thing it's due for a redesign.
The Countryman did well. Too bad it sucks otherwise.

Mazda 5 was a moderate overlap test. Curious to see the small overlap test because of how bad the CX9 did

It's their older models that are doing badly. The 2014 CX-5 (built after October 2013), the 2014 Mazda6, and the 2014 Mazda3 all did well. The only models left waiting for SkyActiv redesigns are the 5, the 2, and the CX-9.
